Week 01 is done. 62 students showed up, which is more than we planned for — we ran out of chairs by the second session and started a waitlist for Cohort 03.
What we covered
Suleiman opened with the security mindset: why defenders think in terms of assets and threats rather than good guys vs bad guys. Then networking — enough TCP/IP to understand what you're attacking before you attack it.
The Kali setup lab was the most chaotic hour. Twelve different laptop configurations, three broken VirtualBox installs, one student running a Chromebook (Crouton, somehow worked). Everyone had a shell by the end.
Saturday CTF — Week 01
Login Bypass was the warm-up. 42 solves. Three solutions we didn't plan for. Writeup is here.
The OSINT challenge (Find the Photographer) had 6 solves — much harder than expected. We're tuning difficulty calibration for Week 02.
What's next
Week 02: Recon & OSINT. We'll cover Shodan, Maltego, and Google dorks. The Saturday challenge will be a full target-dossier exercise — find everything you can about a fictional company we'll plant online.
If you're on the waitlist for Cohort 03, applications open July 2026. Drop your number at the bottom of the home page.
